The Role

Idle is on the lookout for a passionate Barista to join the team. As a walk-in venue, this is a guest-facing role centred around fluidity and welcome. Ensuring every coffee is made with speed and care to meet our high standards while contributing to the warm, unpretentious energy of the café. You will be working with quality beans and equipment in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment. 

• Experience in a high-volume or quality-driven café
• Solid understanding of dialling in, milk texturing and workflow management
• Calm, warm and efficient service style during peak periods 
• An appreciation for quality produce and consistency in execution
• Community focused with an interest in guest engagement
• 1 years experience in speciality coffee
• Ability for early morning and weekend shifts
• RSA & Food Safety Certificate required
