About Biànca

Biànca was born out of a desire to bring the spirit of Italian dining to Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, capturing the effervescence of a classic trattoria within a sleek, warm, and colourful setting. The food focuses on perfecting classic Italian dishes, made in-house with fresh, seasonal produce. The beverage program is thoughtful and balanced, featuring Italian-leaning wines and seasonal cocktails that complement the food and the vibrant atmosphere.

The Role

Our team at Biànca is seeking an experienced Head Host to join us on a Full-time basis. In this hands-on, front-of-house leadership role, you will lead the guest welcome experience by setting the tone from the moment guests arrive. You'll be responsible for managing the host team, overseeing the reservation system, and coordinating table flow to ensure a seamless and warm first impression. You'll also focus on in-house promotion, driving sales through our private dining experience, and acting as first point of contact for VIPs, large bookings, and events. With guest experience at the heart of the role, the Head Host acts as the bridge between service, kitchen, and bar to maintain flow and create a thoughtful, tailored arrival. Equally important, the Head Host plays a key role in farewelling guests, ensuring a long goodbye and smooth turnover of tables—bookending each visit with care, professionalism, and warmth.

• Previous experience as a Head Host, or in guest-facing leadership roles within hospitality
• Outgoing and confident in social interactions
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage bookings, arrivals, and guest seating efficiently
• Calm and professional approach in a high volume fast-paced environment
• RSA Certificate required
• Experience using SevenRooms highly regarded
• Flexibility where necessary to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays
