About Agnes 

Set in a heritage building in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, Agnes is an experience built around the elemental art of wood-fired cooking—no gas, no electricity, just flame. Set across three thoughtfully designed levels, including a main dining room, wine bar and terrace, Agnes celebrates creativity, craftsmanship and seasonal produce. Our meticulously curated beverage program—featuring a deep, evolving wine cellar, thoughtful cocktails and rare spirits—complements the bold flavours of our open-fire menu.

The Role

Agnes is seeking an experienced full-time Host. In this pivotal role, you will set the tone for each guest's experience, offering a warm, polished welcome and smooth transition into their dining journey. As the first and last touchpoint of service, the Host role ensures a thoughtful, efficient, and personal arrival and departure that reflects warmth, integrity, and humility.

• Previous experience as a Host or in guest-facing roles within hospitality
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage bookings, arrivals, and guest seating efficiently
• Calm and professional approach in a fast-paced environment
• RSA Certificate required
• Experience using SevenRooms highly regarded
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays
